  1. Was it random? Some of those choices do have automatic back stories. Steams/Wavy, WGH vs WGH is Ru/GPP all over again. Bill/BMagic both from the same class. Danny/Ek, both on Zoom, both from The West, both battled b4. Saga/Holmzie…Holmzie was ON CAM from the day prior already sayn Saga was his opponent. Fran/Tink…high energy/aggression battle. Then u have the 3 battles that were similar to 3 battles in UM1 where it kinda gave the vibe that spots were on the line due to lackluster performances so certain individuals were matched against those who could b looked at as final/make or breaker tests for them so to speak. Glue/Reepah. Glue on the A side. Loso/Nunn. Loso on the A side. Mike/Ryda. Mike on the A side. In UM1 u had Sikh/Jey…Sikh was the A side due to Jey’s choking. BNewz/Ace…Newz was the A side due to Ace’s struggles w/ gettn his rds off clean. And the closest match in comparison was Chaos/Castro. The most evenly matched, w/ the edge at first glimpse being to Chaos pen wise, just as Mike/Ryda…Mike has the edge pen wise. IS THIS A REACH?!?!?! Maybe. But this is wild ironic that it’s almost identical to the process of those battles chosen in UM1 for the first round. Look at all the other possibilities it could have been. But then wat that means if some of these guys meet later rather than earlier. It just wouldn’t b as interesting, n probably wouldn’t make for as good of debates or storylines as the tournament unfolds. So it actually makes perfect sense y these would b the initial matchups.
