Root to Grow 🌱
In each posture (asana) find the stability and steadiness (sthira) from your root through engagement of the core and other muscles and a strong foundation guided by intention in your movements. To this, add mobility and ease (sukha) through mindful and focused breath and softness of the face and mind. You set the pace and tempo of your practice with the breath you draw in and release.
Breath is important for flexibility. When you’re breathing not only are you drawing in energy (prana) for the muscles but you are providing your mind with something to focus on. Get rid of the outside thoughts and visualize each inhale and exhale 💙
